No added sulphur, it was aged for almost two years in barrels followed by some bottle ageing in centuries old ‘cueva’ deep underground. It is slightly reduced, with some notes of barbecued meat quickly opening up onto milky chocolate, clove and blueberries. It is a vertical wine packed with refreshing acids, and with an irony finish. El Peruco is always more ethereal and lifted than its traditional counterparts in the region. Violet and graphite notes with a bit of grip and intense cherry on the palate.
